Some users reported that Synth1 Librarian failed to start with their host. This release fixes those issues (hopefully!).
I’ve tested in VstHost, SaviHost, Renoise, Reaper, and Cantabile. If you have problems with any other DAW/host, leave me a comment with the details.
Thanks to Brad (author of Cantabile) for bringing this to my attention.

Super! Brad is king ! 🙂
I couldn’t find an email so I’m posting here, I get this error at launch.

Hi, I believe this error is related to Windows built-in security. Try the solution listed here: https://www.systoolsgroup.com/updates/this-file-came-from-another-computer/
You may need to check all of the files in the VST install folder, to determine which one is blocked.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi, I just discovered this and tried it, I think it’s pretty awesome.
Here’s an issue that I have with librarian: Whenever I decide which preset to use and want to tweak the sound, I can’t do it while playing the synth, since it won’t let me play it unless the librarian window is selected. To me, it’s very important to be able to hear the sound as I mess around with the knobs, so I would appreciate if this was fixed.
In case this is not normal, I’m using OpenMPT as my DAW, in Windows 7
Anyway, good work and thank you for making this.

Hi. I experimented with OpenMPT, and I can see the problem. I also tried using Synth1 directly with OpenMPT (ie without using Synth1 Librarian), and the same problem occurs.
But when I tested with another host (SAVIHost), it worked as expected. Unfortunately, I can’t see a straightforward way to fix this in Synth1 Librarian.
Have you tried using a hardware MIDI controller instead? Synth1 allows you to map Parameters to MIDI CC messages, so that might be a reasonable workaround.
